4. Before You Begin

Identification Numbers

Before you apply for a grant, your organization must have a current Unique Entity ID (UEI) and Employer Identification Number (EIN) issued by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) that identifies your organization as a 501c3.

If you don’t already have these ID numbers, you can use the following links to register or check your UEI and EIN status:

Project Director

After you verify your UEI and EIN, you should select a project director. The project director will be the primary contact between your organization and HumanitiesAR staff. We’ll direct all communications to this person. Please note that the project director may not serve as the project’s Humanities Scholar.
