Voices and Votes: Democracy in America Travel Grants Available

HumanitiesAR is pleased to offer the Voices and Votes Field Trip Grant.  

Funds of up to $500 are available to defray the costs of bus driver fees, bus use, and substitute teachers.  

To apply, review the tour schedule (below), contact the host organization to schedule your tour, and simply fill out the online application form.  It’s that simple!

Tour Schedule:

  • Arkansas State Capitol (April 15, 2023 – May 24, 2023)
  • Delta Gateway Museum (June 1, 2023 – July 14, 2023)
  • Old Independence Regional Museum (July 21, 2023 – September 1, 2023)
  • John Brown University (September 8, 2023 – October 20, 2023)
  • Arts and Science Center of Southeast Arkansas (October 27, 2023 – December 8, 2023)
  • Southern Arkansas University (December 15, 2023 – January 28, 2024)

Applicants can apply as soon as possible once they’ve scheduled the tour with the host site. We can award 6 months in advance of the scheduled tour date. Feel free to contact HumanitiesAR if you have any questions. 

Voices and Votes: Democracy in America is part of Museum on Main Street, a collaboration between the Smithsonian Institution and State Humanities Councils nationwide. It is based on an exhibition by the National Museum of American History. Support for Museum on Main Street has been provided by the United States Congress.
